Negligence can cost you a dime

“How could l forget to turn off the car lights?” that was the first question I asked myself. l hate spending money which is not planned for, but sometimes l find myself being negligent which ends up costing me some money. If I could beat myself, I would.

Since l was excited about the new job, l didn’t even realize that l didn’t turn off the car lights. When l called it a day, my dear car could not start and l tried all the tricks but it was all in vain. So, l had to call my dearest hubby to tell him about my ordeal. Unfortunately, this time he couldn’t come to my rescue since am working miles away. I had to look for assistance at a nearby garage. This mistake cost me R250 which l had not budgeted for, as I had to buy the jumping cables. You see what happens when you are negligent!!!

The second incident which still mesmerizes me all the time is when I went to write my exam without a calculator. Ohh poor Tarie! How can you go to the field without a hoe? This was the most terrible moment ever. I had to call my rescue mate, dearest hubby. That was another R200 which had to go down the drain due to my negligence.
I just wanted to share with you some mistakes or negligence we do which ends up costing us money unnecessarily. If you don’t have an emergency fund it is easy to end up using credit for these costs. l just made a mental note for myself to stop making mistakes which cost me money.

Tribe, let’s all share our stories when we made mistakes which cost us some money.
